The session, titled Alternative Sterilization for Healthcare Packaging: Vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide, will address the science, compatibility considerations, and strategic implications of VH2O2 sterilization for healthcare packaging professionals and cross-functional decision makers.
Vaporized hydrogen peroxide (VH2O2) has obtained significant regulatory recognition in recent years, including the FDA’s reclassification of the method as a Category A sterilization modality, supported by the international consensus standard ISO 22441:2022. As medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers evaluate sterilization strategies addressing supply chain, regulatory, and sustainability pressures, understanding the technical and operational requirements of VH2O2 has become a practical priority for packaging and sterilization teams.
